Cave Creek Regional Park

Just north of the Carefree Highway and the City of Phoenix lies a 3,000 acre tract of Sonoran Desert named Cave Creek Regional Park. Once a part of the Tonto Apache's Arizona stronghold, today the desert preserve is one of Maricopa County's Parks. Here you will find an abundance of native Arizona vegetation, wildlife and natural resources.

A Passing Shower
A mid-May shower passes over the Go John Mountain area of Cave Creek Regional Park. Buck Horn and Teddy Bear Cholla as well as Elephant Ear Cactus. Saguaro blooming for sure.
